I averaged 2-3, but with labs and research it was alot more. I think I logged 5 labs, 6-12 hours of research per week, and 6 science classes last year. Hooray for graduating from that mess.

I once took 6 science classes in a semester, though it was 2nd bio lec/ lab, 2nd g chem lec/ lab, and 2nd phys lec/ lab.... I had a total of 21 hours. I'm ******ed. Anyway, only 2 more semesters left!

BME = science is my life... i think i've had a total of 5 electives so far, 2 of which were organic chem I and II. hoooooooah.

Same for me also.

I took 3, usually four, including summer classes, for two solid years just to finish my B.S. in time to start PA school. I had two lab classes every semester at least (3 the spring I took cell bio). I wouldn't advise it. It killed my GPA and I was constantly overstressed. But whatever floats your boat....

Also, try to cut back on the amount of science classes the semester that you are going to take the April MCAT (assuming you take it then). I took 3 sciences classes last semester along with another elective and I barely made it. I've never pulled an all-nighter before until this past semester. Not fun!!!!

I take about 3-4 science courses w/labs per semester. Now that the courses are getting harder, I am trying my best to limit myself to 3 lab classes.

I also once took 6 science classes in one semester and greatly regret that decision. With organic II, organic II lab, genetics, physics II, physics II lab, mamalian physiology, and working in an immunology lab in my "free time," no wonder my grades were terrible that semester! (My gpa and I are still "recovering" after that traumatic experience!)

As a biochem major (getting a bachelor of science), I average about 3-4 science classes per semester and that seems to be about right for me. 😀

I am going to have 16 hours of science next semester.
Cell & Molecular Bio 3 hours
Organic Chem I + Lab 4 hours
Calculus 3 4 hours
Modern Physics + Lab 4 hours
Advanced Gen Chem Lab 1 hour
