How many semsters of lab do you need for orgo for medical school?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Is this true for all schools, I want to make sure before I enroll for next year

From what I've seen most require 2 credit hours. Which depending on your schools is 1 per semester (3 hour lab - 1 hour credit) or 1 semester (6 hours of lab - 2 hours credit).

You will need 2 lab in the course of 2 semesters.

Org. Part 1 with Lab
Org. Part 2 with Lab

= 2 labs, 2 lec, 2 semesters! =D

At some schools, you only need one term of OChem lab. At others, you need to take it for an academic year or get a certain number of credit hours. Others let you substitute a term of Biochem in place of OChem II + lab. Yet others don't require OChem or lab, at all. The MSAR is vague on this point. Your best bet is to check the website of the schools you plan to apply to, though this source can be vague too, commonly saying "one year of Ochem with lab" (rather than saying labs). Some times you have to call the schools to know for sure.
