This a 2 part question:

1. How many different sites do you go to during 3rd and 4th year?

2. How many times do you actually have to pack your bags and move to a new apartment because your next rotation is in a different city/region, over the last 2 years of med school?

Is it different for each school? I am primarily interested in what it's like for Touro CA and AZCOM students, since I'll be going to one of those two schools.

I moved once by requirement (to my rotations site). All rotations were within driving distance of my home there. The few that were offered that weren't close enough to commute to usually had some sort of free or cheap housing arrangement that I could make use of for the month.

I moved a second time in 4th year, but this was by my own choice, nothing that the school required (or even asked) me to do.

This depends very much on your school.

I'll move to a core site for my 3rd and 4th year, and theoretically I could stay there if I can get all my electives in the same place, but sometimes it's in your best interest to move for some rotations (auditions, more/better/different education elsewhere, etc).

I rotated at 9 hospitals. I was away for 3 rotations. Each rotation was 1 month. Housing was provided for free at these away sites. Your experience my differ.
