Hey guys i was just wondering how many times everyone or anyone have applied to pharm school before getting getting in????? Like after so many times give up or what?

I got in on my first try, but I know some friends that needed three attempts to get into pharmacy school. Heck, I know a few people who bay be on their fourth or fifth try.

I got in on my first try. But if you didn't, I'd contact the admissions people at the various schools and find out how they think you can strengthen your application for next year.

First time for me as well 🙂 However, I know many people that did not get in, and are just going to improve their applications and try again, and again, and again if necessary. The more times you have to apply, you should try to create a degree out of the classes you have...looks good on an application to have a degree when applying.

Kay, please keep in mind that the people who frequent this particular site are a very small minority of all pharm school applicants/acceptees. There's a ton of great information here and some really terrific people, but please don't make any grand assumptions based on what a relatively few tell you here. Heck, if you believe everything that's posted here and use that as a basis for your application and potential for acceptance, it's going to seem like everyone you're competing against has a GPA of 3.5 or above, they all have bachelor's degrees in biophysical quantum incandescent mechanics, they do 1500 volunteer hours a year eliminating poverty and solving world hunger, and their low-paid but highly rewarding research job is right on the verge of finding a cure for AIDS that is based in sea salt and automobile exhaust.

although your point is very extreme... it makes sense that those who have very good stats will share it more easily and possibly brag about it many times on the forums... i'm sure there are many people who don't get in their first time, but just make sure u have a plan to make your application next year even better. i'm sure some who had to reapply multiple times will be reluctant to just post how many times they tried again. also note that there is a large range of ages on the application with some hitting near the age of 40 applying to pharmacy school.

I just got my PhD in theoretical temporal mechanics and a B.S. in human nocturnal activities. The latter one was more difficult than the former due to the homework from other classes and a lack of willing women.😀

Anyway, I agree with your posts as the people who mainly disclose advice are people worrying about their own application or people who got in and are less likely to be defensive about sharing stats. Pharmacy school is competitive, but I think misleading stats and overzealous college advisers often make it sound more difficult than it really is.
