How many pre-reqs did you still have to finish the year that you applied for vet school? I still will have to finish a full year of physics and 2 quarters of biochemistry. Is that too many unfinished courses? I know a lot of people say that you should only have 2 unfinished courses, but I will have 5 🙁.

Any ideas?

is this just deja vu? or did you really post in 2 threads AND start a new thread with the same exact question?

It depends. I know Michigan State requires that you have 50% of your prereqs done by the fall. Other schools like Ohio State only allow you to have one prereq remaining for the spring semester/winter quarter. Most of the requirements for prereq completion are stated on a school's website, so check that out.

Do you think that even the schools that allow multiple unfinished pre-reqs look down upon not having so many completed?

Not necessarily. Have you taken any upper level (300-400) science couses and done well in them? If so, it may be possible to overlook your unfinished prereqs at the time of your application (but you still need to finish/take them).

I have taken 300 level genetics, animal nutrition, physiology, animal reproduction, and organic chemistry I and II and received all A's in them. So hopefully that is enough to overlook my unfinished prereqs at the time of my application. It still worries me though.

Those are prereqs at most schools and most
Of the courses you mentioned are not upper level courses. Histo, micro, anatomy, immuno, viro etc

At OSU all of those courses are considered upper level courses. Is that not true for all colleges? In that case, I haven't taken any of the courses you have mentioned (histo, micro, anatomy, immuno, etc).

This isn't looking so good for me.

At my school, physiology, genetics, o chem, histo, micro, and anatomy are all considered 200 level (we only have 100 and 200 level sciences, only gen bio, chem, physics, and non science major classes for the most part are 100 level) so they are all considered upper level at my school. I haven't taken all of those classes yet, but I've heard from multiple people that physiology is the hardest science class they've taken at our school and I can certainly vouch for the fact that its harder than the other upper level biology I've taken so far:laugh:.
