I started with the prereqs a little late in the ball game and if I apply summer after junior year, Ill have only taken 1-2 upper level science courses (Human Phys &/or Biochemistry).

Id also be doing Bio research (for credit), if that matters, both semesters junior year.

All prereqs (with the exception of a couple labs) would be done. How many upper levels do med schools like to see?

They aren't necessarily required. What does the rest of your app look like? As long as it's solid, it probably doesn't really matter.

It shouldn't matter. The only reason you should try to take more science courses if you were trying to raise your science gpa.

Yeah, I can't remember the amount of upper level science courses that I've taken ever coming up in any way during the app process. As far as courses go, I'm pretty sure you just need to meet their prereq requirements.

You've likely met all pre-reqs. Some schools like to see Genetics or Stat classes, but they aren't by any means required.

I think I remember a couple schools requiring biochemistry as a pre-req, although I can't remember any school names off the top of my head. If you don't have time for lots of upper levels, I wouldn't worry too much, but do check the requirements for the schools you're considering applying to for odd requirements like statistics, genetics, calculus I, biochemistry and statistics. I'd do the classes you have time for. Personally, I'd much rather spend my tuition money on science classes than liberals, if I had the choice, but everyone has their own preferences.
