so i see on ERAS that you can submit up to 4 letters to each program.

has anyone taken the time to look at each program's website to verify whether they accept 3 vs. 4?

here's why i ask, i've got two letters uploaded in ERAS (surg and family med) and i'm waiting on one from IM and Rads. maybe i'm being neurotic, but i'm concerned that if i submit 4 letters on ERAS, but the programs only take 3.....then my IM letter will come in first and my app will be complete before the rads letter arrives. leaving me applying to radiology sans letter and interview-less.

i started to check out some programs online regarding the letter limit, but with the number i'm applying to, it's kinda unrealistic to hunt through each program's website link after link for this info.

anyone else wondering running into this?

Most programs will offer interviews when you have your application complete with transcript, board scores, and at least one LoR.

I'd suggest uploading one or two for now, submitting the application, and the taking the time to decide whether each program will accept 3 or 4. You can easily update your application to assign new letters to programs when available.

I said screw it and blasted each program with 4 letters. 3 were clinical and 1 research.

on that topic...i have a psych letter...and its really good...but its psych. I know in gen surg or other like minded specialties it would be laughed at but with rads im not sure where they stand with psych letters...input?
