How Med Schools Calculate GPA

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Why do you think that it would? As best I can tell, AMCAS uses a 3.0/3.3/3.7/4.0 system. The only thing that does not convert is the A+ awarded by some undergrad schools that is downgraded to just 4 quality points rathe than 4.3 points.
I figured it would because some schools assign it while others don't, making it unfair to those who went to a school that assigned an A-. So they do use A-'s then thats disappointing

But if the alternative is that you either earn an A or a B, with nothing inbetween, how hard is it to get a 3.8 compared with a school that has +/- grading.

Move to Texas. It seems that they drop the + and -.
