How much caffeine do you consume?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've had about 300mg (so far) today. I have a very high tolerance to caffeine, though, and that doesn't even touch it.

Depends on my mood, on a good day just one cup. On a long/bad day, 3-4 cups. When I was writing research papers it was like 4-5 cups per day lol.

Haven't been drinking too much coffee/tea recently but maybe a few cups per week. Gotta make sure I don't have a huge tolerance for it when I go to medical school or it won't work when I need it to. Hoping to get a Keurig or some other coffee machine when I start. XD

At least a cup or two of coffee a day. I used to think I was a caffeine addict for having 2 cups of coffee(or 1 coffee + 1 energy drink) a day, until I went to med school. Compared to half of my classmates, I'm caffeine sober 😱

I average one or two cups per day, depending on if I want to sleep well the night of.

A year ago I had at least 150mg a day - I've cut back to only drinking coffee when studying before big exams, and right before I take an exam. Not waking up with a headache every day until I get my fix is great, plus my tolerance has gone way down so it really works when I need it.

I'm also much less anxious and tremorous than before 🙂.

Same when compared to my classmates. I've seen pictures posted on our Facebook group of those coffee dispensing boxes similar to the "wine-in-a-box" thing. That was during finals lol.

On winter break, probably about 2 cups of coffee a day. The caffeine is nice, but I also really enjoy the taste of good coffee and find it comforting.

At my apartment during the school year, normally 2 shots of espresso in the morning (delicious!) and maybe a cup of coffee or more espresso later.

Why?

It keeps me active (morning, evening and night), especially getting through boring classes. However, too much caffeine gives me high blood pressure and frequent urge to pee.

Weekend/Day off 2-3 cups of coffee +/- 1-2 diet cokes.

Working 5+ cups of coffee.

1-2 cups per day. Even when I am not studying, its nice.

Do you feel drained on the days you aren't taking the pills

Surprisingly, not really.

Interesting. I need caffeine on a daily basis because I've developed a dependency, but maybe what you do would work as a way to get myself off it without too much withdrawal.

No sodas or coffee for me...the good habits of being on a competitive sports team 🙂

I usually drink a can of pop with lunch (Pepsi Throwback, MMMmmm). Coffee does not make me feel well and I don't like the taste. Energy drinks and caffeine pills make me nauseous and feel horrible. I wonder how I manage to survive everything.

Energy drinks are delicious. I'm down to one soda per day though. Trying to get off caffeine so my tolerance is low and I can use it to study in med school.

👍Yes. I drink decaffeinated tea, and can barely tolerate the caffeine in chocolate. (Yet I'm always one of the most hyper people in my classes 😳) And I 😴😴 like a baby.

A cup or two of coffee in the morning, and a big cup of tea in the afternoon! Coffee in the afternoon keeps me from sleeping at night, but I still need the caffeine and black tea usually works great.

Oh yeah. Good stuff

I brought two to my MCAT 🙂 drank them pretty frequently during prep too.

Sadly my plan is to cutback on the sugar and switch to coffee in med school. Got a Keurig for Christmas.

I'm curious how my body will react to caffeine pills.

Trying to quit coffee is horrible. I tried it once cold and had these horrible headaches.

Yea it is ridiculous. I've done it before, but it sucked so much.
