how much do unique ECs matter?

how much do unique ECs matter? will they care about doing stuff that's not just your normal shadowing/research?

I'd say it will make a difference, IF it is on top the regular EC (research and volunteer).

yeah, definitely. i have 3 semesters and a summer of research (i'm a rising junior) and i'll be shadowing 2 general dentists and 2 specialists this summer. then what i'm talking about is i'm a motivational speaker at rehab centers, i have a business, and i will (hopefully!) have a how-to book published by the time i apply.
