Most schools require 6 Eng credits.
I took Eng 111 and 112 from CC then 302 from 4 yr university.

I got B from 111, C from 112, and B+ from 302.
I took 112 only because my CC counselor told me that I need it to get associate degree but I ended up transferring without getting associate degree so I think taking it only lowered my GPA, making my transcript look bad, and it only counts as elective that I didn't need to take.

When dental school says 6 Eng credits, do they mean 2 of 100 level classes or 111 and 302 (in my case).
And how much will it lower my chance?

Come on joonkim, stop playing StarCraft and step your game up. You better than that dogg.

I don't think one "C" will ruin your chances, especially if English isn't your first language. Those classes also won't figure into your science GPA. 👍 Just try to do really well in your science classes and they will probably not weigh the "C" too heavily. I am not familiar with the course-numbering system at your school, but they will probably want to see 6 credits of English composition (writing-intensive classes). Usually this is intro. comp., argumentative writing, expository writing, etc. You will probably want to work hard at improving your reading comprehension skills over the next few years, so you will improve your chances of scoring really well on the Reading Comprehension section of the DAT.

I think your 6 would be the 111,112 - normally they mean freshman writing and composition and critical thinking classes.

Also, 1 C won't hurt you, I had about 6 and I got in just fine. Good luck!

starcraft is sick.
I'm amazing at that game

what about a C in calc or stats? Will that be looked down upon?

oh dont worry, I have 5 cs and I still got 3 interviews. Well 3 out of 23 isn't what I call OUTSTANDING

I had quite a few C's. I had a 2.5cGPA my freshman year. but i had a 3.7 upperclass cGPA. It just depends on when you get your C's, how you make up for them, and how you present them when asked...
