hello! just had a question - I will be finishing my bachelors at a top 40 school that is private and a research school. my plan was to do my post bac at my state school (a SUNY) to save money and rent - will it look bad if I take my pre reqs at a state school when I did my ug at a higher ranked school? i looked at harvard and Columbia’s post bacc but it’s too expensive for me + have mixed reviews. i have to take all my pre reqs so I don’t want to mess up where I go, but I also don’t want to take out loans for this.

I did my undergrad at a top 40 school but then did my postbacc at a much cheaper/ not as prestigious university. I am working with my premed counselor at the school I went to undergrad at, and she basically said it's irrelevant. We will see how that ends up panning out! I'd say save the money, and be sure to do well on the MCAT if you're looking for another indicator of academic competency.
