Your personal statement don't have to change a whole lot since you cannot change as a person in one year. The main thing to discuss is what has changed in the last year since applying. That should be just one paragraph. Aside from that you don't have to change much .

I'm also in the same situation. Do we directly address the fact that we are reapplying or do we indirectly mention in our personal statement new activities or accomplishments? I'm trying to market myself and explain why I want to pursue Dentistry but I'm not sure if there is enough space to also address my past and now things I've done to improve. Have you heard of others writing an additional letter that could focus on the fact we are reapplying and how we've improved our application?
