How far back did you go in your application? I have a lot of awards through 4-H and some stuff in high school and wasn't sure if those should be included in my application. I will obviously include the animal/vet hours.

I included high school awards and stuff. I did reviews after the first cycle and I was told to include stuff from high school. Mine were mostly music related

Even though I'm 10-ish years out of high school, I included things back to middle school (but only if they continued into high-school/college). As for 4-H, I included that too, even though I was in elementary school when I was in 4-H.

If it's relevant to vet med and animals, I'd include it even if you were very young. As for everything else, just use your judgment, I guess.

I went alllllllllll the way back to high school. And I'm 40+.

My take on it was: Why not? It's all honest, and I figure if some 22-year-old deserves credit for something they did in high school, so do I. And if the school wanted to ignore any of it, they could.

I really didn't see any reason not to include it, other than it was a pain trying to remember/find it all.

I went back to jr high or high school on most things, like band and softball. As for 4-H, I was a 10 year 4-Her and showed in open class even before that, but I only counted my hours starting when I did majority of the work myself. When you're 6 and your parents are really the ones working with the animals, it just doesn't seem fair to count that IMO 🙄

**I still listed 10 year 4-H member in my honors section, though. Having help in the beginning may constitute omitting those early hours, but it's still an overall achievement that you earned! Everyone has to start in the same place to earn those 10 years, so there's no getting around that 🙂

Great, thanks for all your opinions! I can't convince my husband to move now so I can't even apply until next year but the over planner in me has to start obsessing over it now.
