How much time do most people spend on secondary essays?

The essays are not supposed to be that long but it take forever to come up with stuff to write (At least for me)

Do you all have it read by multiple readers before submitting?
Is anyone using any refernce book(for the essays)

I had my AACOMAS personal statement read by multiple readers, but I am not going to do that with secondary essays. I am just going to have perhaps one person proofread for errors, but not really give any input as far as composition goes.

Same here.

I usually fill out all of the easy stuff, then I go back when I have time and write the big essays. I am very very perticular with my writing, I always have many many people proofread and do numerous changes. But with the secondaries, I really just do one draft and proofread myself. I think that just being yourself and using words that you would normally use is best. As for time, It only takes me a few days to get it in the mail, except when I got like 4 in 2 days, that took 2 weeks.

Actually I take a fair amount of time with my secondaries because I think they can make the strongest impact. I have at least one person review it/edit/make comments, and they usually go through about 2 or 3 renditions before I submit.

i take the time to personalize the secondary essays and do a little research on the school and what's unique about them. but all in all, i take no more than 1 day for each school. i go to work, do a little research online, write the essay at work during downtime, and email it to myself at the end of the day. then, when i get home, i clear my mind with some din din and sportscenter, then i revisit the essay and proofread a little. then, at about 10:30 while watching MTV's 10:00 programming, i'll print it out and get it ready for mailing tomorrow. next day, stop by the post office and send it out. pick up some subway or quizno's for lunch and then back to work for another school's secondary.

i swear, this month has been like groundhog day
