How much time for residency interviewing?

I am an MS4 applying for IM this coming September. I am trying to go back to California so will apply as broadly as possible. My question is how much time should I leave for interview? I was told to take 2 blocks off to do interview but wonder if I can just take 1 month off. How many interviews should you go to? I can't imagine being able to do more than 10 in a month. Thank you.
