how much time on average..(or for specific ones) did you spend on your secondaries. I havent had time to pre-write any of mine of even look at them. I should be receiving them within a day or two i think. Should I be able to do each one in about 2-3 days?
How long do u usually spend on it?
Should i still be ok if I start working on them after I recieve em?

It will depend on how many and what type of prompts are on each secondary. So I'll share how much time I spent on each type of prompt and you can multiply as necessary. 🙂

No prompt - 5 minutes to enter credit card info

Short answer (3-5 sentences or a few hundred characters) - 15 minutes to construct a logical answer and polish for spelling and grammar.

Essay (1-2 pages or a few thousand characters) - 2-3 hours to construct a logical answer and polish for spelling and grammar. Left it alone for an hour, came back and reread for coherence and overall quality.

like within 10 days is good?
according to what u said i shud be done with atleast one secondary each day...that makes me feel better 🙂 i was thinking like 3-4 days on each long essay :s

Secondary applications usually have a due date as far as I know. You can also check the school website for the dates.

This. My stack of secondaries never ends since I complete one and get a new one the next day.

I'd say shoot for getting them out within a week. Two weeks at most if the prompts are difficult. I work fulltime and only have so much energy to devote to secondaries in the evening. Typically I get them sent off in 4-5 days since I have people proofreading my essays 😀

I had always heard, for best results, that you should AIM for getting a secondary in within 48 hours after receiving it.

That being said, when I got my secondaries, I wrote the responses ASAP, sent them to my parents for review and revision, corrected them, and sent the secondaries in within 48-72 hours. I was pretty burnt out by the time that I finished with all of them, but no one can say I wasn't on the ball.

My primary was verified yesterday, so it should be sent out today and I should be getting secondaries by tomorrow. I also haven't had time to pre-write secondaries... hopefully I can stay up late tonight and get a few done! My goal is to have all secondaries turned in by next Monday, so hopefully interview invites can flow in around the beginning of September. Would this still be considered relatively early/average??

I think you would be fine. No point in worrying about it. Just get them secondaries in asap.

I had a goal of getting a secondary out within a day. I the beginning when I got 5 at once, I had them all done withing 3 days. But otherwise for me it was within a day to a day and a half.

Just got a mass of secondaries today... I've managed to pump out 4!! So far I've done LECOM-B, Nova, KCOM, and DMU. Just sent both committee and DO letters via interfolio to all of them... so I hope to be complete at those schools by tomorrow? (I dunno how long it takes for them to verify secondaries).

I'm going to attempt Rocky Vistas tonight and call it a day... then the only one I didn't get to today was CCOM, VCOM, and SOMA.

Whew... 🙄

Once you get rolling, you tend to find that some prompts are very similar. Copy Paste away! (with some minor tweaking to address the question 😉 )
