Hi, I was wondering, how much is it to hold an acceptance seat, for each of the DO schools? Let's start a list:

Touro $2,000 after two weeks of acceptance letter

i remember dmu asking for a first deposit of $500, then a final deposit of $500. total: $1000

nycom first deposit was $500, and the final deposit was $1500 (i think) total: $2000

wvsom was $2000 for out of state residents

I applied for early acceptance and the deposit was $4000. I figured I would spend about that flying out to schools and for hotel rooms.

These amounts seem really high to me. Is this typical of osteo schools? Would most schools refund the deposit if you decided to go elsewhere, or is OSU the exception? Does anyone know if allo schools require such a large deposit just to hold a spot? Any info would be appreciated!

i agree with molybdenum on why DO schools charge so much, i've heard that from many places. and yes, pcom is only $250, while lecom is $1500. good luck everyone! 😛
