How negatively will this affect me?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I just completed and submitted my AMCAS application. The problem is related to my transcripts (one from my main undergraduate university and another from a community college where I took 2 classes). I requested both transcripts to be sent out 6/4. My UG transcript was sent out 6/5 and my CC transcript was sent out 6/14. AMCAS says they are way behind on processing transcripts (processing 6/6 transcripts). So on this pace, my application probably will not even be complete until late June/early July and I may not be processed until August according to AMCAS customer service. How negatively will this affect me?

Don't even bother with the secondaries.... cycle is over

..

J/k . Chillax. Just pre-write your secondaries using the school-specific threads and be ready to send them out when you get them.

UGGH... same thing happened to me... post bac. program didn't send out my transcript until June 10th, despite my calling them every other day for two weeks asking them to 🙁. Really frustrating to know it could be early August by now.

I guess there's really nothing we can do about that, but, my advice would be to start pre-writing your secondaries so that you can send those out almost right after getting the invites and that will probably get you back on track to be in the "early" crowd.

Good luck! I totally feel your pain

You can't fix it now, just stop worrying about it.

This. The application cycle will be a lot calmer for you if you realize and accept the things you have no control over, while doing the best you can with what you can control. Like others have said, start working on secondary essays (find the prompts in the school specific threads) so that as soon as you are verified and receive secondaries, you can submit them. You have zero control right now over when your transcripts are processed and when you get verified. Even if you don't get verified until early August, you are still technically an early applicant.

Thanks for the responses.

Does anyone know if admissions are rolling based on the return of secondary apps or the date of primary app completion?

Secondary. When you have your secondary + all LORs + MCAT score is when schools will review your application in order to offer an interview.

Admissions don't even begin until you get an interview invite. That can happen as early as a week after your secondary application is complete (w/ LORs and MCAT) or as late as 6 months after you're complete depending on the school and how much they like you.

Worry about rolling admissions when you actually HAVE an interview invite.

Nothing you can so about it now just stay on top of your secondaries🙂
