I went back and watched some of the older episodes of ER and I am surprised at how medically accurate they were. Or maybe I just watched the first 5 minutes of The Resident so I have absolutely zero expectations.

That's because Michael Crichton is a physician. He never got his license to practice medicine, but he has an MD from Harvard and did some work at the Salk Institute in La Jolla, CA.
Loved the first few seasons of ER. Compared to House, Greys and all the other stuff, the medicine was pretty accurate. Couldn't bring myself to watch it after season 8 episode 21 though.

That presentation is (almost) totally familiar to me (minus the rude attending). So glad that I had residents and attendings patient enough to get me to the point where I’m at least competent at presentations now.
