I was just wondering how often people are checking their e-mail account and or the Pharmcas site while waiting for interviews.

If you look at pharmCAS school information - interviews are scheduled for LIU in March and April. Interview invites for March were e-mailed at the end of February, so invites for April dates have probably not gone out yet (no need to lose sleep over it - if you don't get an invite by the end of March, THEN it may be time to focus on your chances with other schools.) LIU will only contact the applicants that are being considered for admission - and even if invited for an interview, acceptance is not offered to everyone. Not sure of the percentage, but based on previous years' stats - slightly less than 1/2 of interviewed were accepted
Although your stats are great, hopefully you've applied to other schools as LIU fills a majority of their seats with their prepharm students, leaving only above 40 seats for transfers (based on pharmCAS numbers last year.) Relying on one school is a huge mistake, as the selection process of pharmacy admissions committees differ in many ways and leaves many of us mystified!!!
Lot's of luck!

Thank you for the encouragement. I really appreciate that.
I only wish I had the option of applying to other pharmacy schools, but I have a geographic limitation on which schools I can attend. I needed a school that is within driving distance of long island and LIU is the best option. Lucky for me it also happens to be an excellent school.

Not everyone would agree (especially when many judge school quality by the NAPLEX pass rates.) Check your inbox for private message🙂

I am also curious if anyone else does what I do and searches the forum for mention of the school or schools that you have applied to. I check my e-mail and then check this forum to see if someone else has been invited for an interview. This is such a lesson in patience.

The frequency I check my email or the PharmCAS website depends on what is going on at the moment. Shortly after I submitted my applications to PharmCAS I was checking to see when they did the GPA Calcs and received my LORs. Then I was checking the school websites and my email for supplemental information or application receipt information. Then it was about interviews. Now it is frequently in the time period about 2-4 weeks after the interviews to find about their decisions.

So much waiting in this process....👎

I check my email like every 5 min, in fact now lol
