Sorry for making this a really weird type of post to ask, but I am curious. For current or past practicing Physicians, was it common for patients to try to sue you throughout the years you have practiced?
According to the medscape report, 47% of respondents to their survey in 2015 say they have been sued ever at least once.
As you can imagine, certain specialties get more sued than others. Specifically, Ob/Gyn or anything surgical.

Essentially, all "high risk specialty" practitioners get sued at least once. And most low risk specialty practitioners get sued once.
