How often does optomcas send out applications?

They finally verified my GPA. Does anyone know when optomcas is sending out the next batch of applications? Or how often do they send it? 🙂

I submitted my application on 8/10, it was finally verified and calculated on 8/25. It was then mailed on 8/26. I'm assuming if it didn't go out on 8/26 your app will be in next batch, maybe mid next week?

I'm still waiting on one LOR. 😳 Do you know if optomcas will mail out the applications or hold off until the LOR is submitted?

They mail it out even before the LOR is submitted. They will mail the schools the LOR as soon as they get it.

So do we have to wait and send our references the form to fill out a LOR before sending the app, or can we add more LOR as time progresses after sending the app?

I believe you can add more LORs as long as you still have spots left within your 4 possibilities. You can delete anyone as long as they haven't started anything, but once they have you can't delete it.

Also, I called and was told apps (and additional materials) are mailed out every Thursday. GPAs verification have been a lot faster. I know someone who submitted their app on the 8/25 and was verified on 8/29.

So GPA calculations do not happen until after you submit your app?

Also, do schools wait for all your LOR's before invites for interviews? one of my LOR's i know is going to wait until the very last min (of my personal set deadline) to turn her's in. I just dont want my app to be dependent on her procrastination.
