How old can the prerequisite courses be? I have been out of school for a while and have taken all the required classes. Anyone know if they can be 10 years old? I am taking the DAT in December 2006 by the way.

At Loma Linda - within the last five years. Everywhere else, check with the school or do a search. This topic comes up. If you are taking the DAT in Dec I would say your application will be very late, making it difficult to get into dental school starting 2007. You really should consider moving it up, unless you plan to apply for admissions starting 2008 and just want to get the DAT done early.

Call the schools. Some schools that "care" about that will overlook it if you take recent classes. See what they have to say.

Be sure to check with the schools you are applying to. Some require you have taken them within 5 years of matriculation into Dental Schools, others do not make mention of it.

Although, I have a feeling any pre-req over 10 years will probably need to be retaken.

Best of luck!
