I'm going to apply to med schools in US in my third year. I'm in my second year and going to apply next year. I think my marks will be around 3.74.
How realistic is it to get into any med school in US keeping in mind that I go to a University in Canada and have Canadian citizenship?
I did some search, but didn't find the answers that I wanted.

In the first place, it is difficult for international students to get into US med schools. Adding to that, you are applying after only two years of undergrad, which gives you less experience than other applicants who are applying after their 3rd or 4th year of undergrad.

I think you would need spectacular ECs to prove to adcoms that you have enough experience for medical school. This process is difficult enough, I don't think it makes much sense to apply a year earlier and reduce your chances of getting in.

Hi, I think it is difficult to apply to US schools when you aren't a US citizen. I have a number of friends who have tried unsucessfully. Will you be applying to both Canadian and US schools? Or do you prefer an US school?

OK. Are you graduating in just 3 years of college or ... ?

The process is somewhat hard for an international applicant but not as hard as people want to think. Your GPA is very strong so you will need at least a 30+ MCAT. On top of that you will need really strong ECs.

This year i have had 3 friends (1 Canadian, the others Asian) who got an acceptance to an allopathic US school. Of course their MCATs and GPAs were strong (32+, 3.7+) and it seems that they did well on their interviews.

So it's doable and it can happen and we have people on this site who are doing it right now. You just need to play your cards correctly.
