Hi everyone! I just received my June PCAT scores. My overall Precentile Rank was 92 but I don't feel good about it. Maybe it is because of my breakdown:

Verbal 60
Biology 75
Reading Comp. 64
Quantitative A. 99
Chemistry 95
Composite 92

Writing 4

Can somepne please tell me how I should react to this. I am planning to take the Kaplan Online Course very soon. Has anyone taken it ? Has it helped them ? Will it help improve my verbal and reading scores ? Thank you for your help.

Your math and chemistry scores are outstanding. Your knowledge in those subjects will be very important in pharmacy school so I think it speaks well of you that you scored so highly.

I don't know if the Kaplan online course is good or not...
I think it's expensive.

If you want to try something cheaper, a GRE Verbal book might help. The verbal section of the GRE is very rigorous, and it has a lot of similarities to the PCAT verbal and reading sections. I found two books for sale on Amazon.com (used copies for less than $10.00 each). Either one would probably prepare you very well.

Just go to www.amazon.com and search for "GRE Verbal." It should bring up at least two books - the Princeton Review and Kaplan GRE Verbal.

I used the GRE Biology book to prepare for the PCAT biology section and I ended up doing very well. I would even say that it over-prepared me.

Good luck! Feel free to PM me if you want more info.

Thank you very much for your support and advice. I will definately try looking at the GRE books for Biology and the Verbal section. Congratulations on your GRRRRRREAT score!
