ok so I did a practice test and did decently. But I want to say that the numbering on every paragraph helped greatly; is this the case for the real thing?

And there were a lot of "What best summarizes paragraph 3?" type questions. They would refer to a specific passage and ask to summarize it which makes it extra easy. Are there questions that are like this on the real thing? Or is it more like "what best summarizes the concept of blah blah blah"?

OH and also there were subtitles too...
for example, i was reading a passage about the eye. and within the passage there were subtitles in bold print like "The cornea" then "What causes certain certain diseases?" etc etc till the end of the passage. Which obviously helps me a lot when it comes to looking for specific information.

I'm just wondering if anyone who has taken the real thing can tell me if both the points I made above are indeed the case for the real thing. cuz i feel like CDP makes it seem really easy. Or am I just overrating the real thing. I'm not sure.

Oh yea and also the passages were relatively simple. (Eye, Anorexia, bridges)...aren't the passages more biology-oriented for the real thing?

If a DAT veteran or anyone who's taken the test could relate to any of these, I would GREATLY appreciate your input.

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍:naughty:

They aren't necessarily bio related. I had one on fiber optics.

They do come with subtitles, such as my fiber optics one above.

I used CDR 10 test version. And I liked it. No test comes to replicate the real thing exactly. That certainly goes for CDR. But I thought CDR did well in preparing me, though I had much frustration with some of their stupid answers.

My test didn't ask about "which bet summarizes paragraph x"... But it did ask questions that made you think about the main themes and make your best guesses about what a certain sentence or paragraph was about.

I'm having trouble in achiever's rc. Running into serious time issues, but also missing a fair amount of questions that I had time to answer.. Do you feel that CDR was a fairly good representation? Also, did you get anything out of the strategy videos in the 10 test package (if you actually watched them)? I can't imagine what they would put in those videos!

can anyone else please relate? thank you so much!

Questions in achiever test are very good representation. Achiever rc is long so if you can barely finish it in time then you are all set. Also to see what type questions show up, and you should definitely check 2009 ADA test. I did cdr 5 test version. First time I did it, my average was 18. I redid it after 3 months and average was 21. My RC score on real test is 21. When I did achiever, I got 18 on first one and then 16 on second one. Real test has 2 scientific articles and one kinda non science(eg: fiber optic) . Hope this helps.
