How soon after you submit the applications to the schools do you get granted an interview (if they like you)? Do the schools email you or mail you a letter or call you to set up an interview?

Also...just to clairfy... do we submit the respective application materials at the same time to both the individual schools and OptomCas? (or do we wait for the optomcas to process it, then send the rest of the materials to the schools?) For the letters of rec should you ask for them around 3 months before you apply? (Sorry I'm a newbie but i did look for the answers but I'm still confused on those questions.) Thanks!

It was 3 days after my optomcas was submitted that I learned I could do my supplemental applications, since for those schools it's a completely separate application that they have to send you, and then for the school which I want to go to - it took them 4 business days after I turned in my supp app to get back to me with an interview slot. It took another school 8 business days to get back to me after turning in my supp app. And I received an email from one school, and a phone call from another.

You submit your optomcas, and depending on which school you're applying to is how you do your supp app. I think some schools have their supplemental with the optomcas? Others require that you do that first and then once they receive that then they send you the app.

And I dunno about letters of rec, I asked all of my people at the end of the spring semester, around April/May, and then I sent them an email in July telling them that the OptomCAS had opened and with instructions on how to do the letters. One professor turned his in exactly a week after I sent him the stuff, the other two it took them a month to write / turn in.
