How strict is the Duke 2 wk deadline?

Does anyone know if Duke's "2 week" submission from date of e-mail invitation is heavily endorsed?

though i would recommend you get it in - i can almost guarnetee you that it is not a hard and fast rule

You should get it in by 2 weeks if you can, but last year there were lots of people that didn't do that, and i dont think it had any ill effect on their application.
