Each examiner - six in total gives a score on that scale, and summation has to be 32 or higher to pass, or maybe 31. The "fail" a room and still pass the boards does not apply anymore.
Each examiner is given a dove/hawk index based on how far off the mean they are when compared against other examiners for the same examinee from historical data. Their individual score for a particular examinee is then scaled by this index. Marginal examinees are discussed. I threw away my paper work that may have answered how the scores from each roomed are combined: ie simple arithmetic mean or best x out of y.
I'm just glad to be done with it. It was the most anxiety provoking thing I've ever done. After the first question, though, it wasn't too bad. Good luck.
