How to answer "tell me a time when you just agreed with someone on something" question?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
"I look good in these jeans right?"

"Yes dear"

Self preservation.

(In all seriousness, a reasonable answer is one where you agree in order to preserve a relationship if the agreement causes little harm otherwise)

yup of course. just trying to think of how to answer in an interview scenario

"Tell me about a time when you just agreed with someone."

"Well, when I was still a young buck, I liked to go my own way. I was volunteering in the local homeless shelter and the director asked me to make the soup using the galvanized tub instead of the stainless tub. Now I knew full well that the galvanized tub would cause the chili to taste metallic and of poor quality, but I also knew that to go against el hefe of the shelter would be heresy. In order to preserve our relationship and continue being able to better serve the homeless people of Talapia, I elected to follow his instruction and serve the metallic tasting chili to them that night. Later, as our relationship continued to develop, I came to him with a blind taste test of chili from the galvanized and metallic tubs. In that instant he knew I was the chosen one, and from that day on I've chased my dream of being a chef....errrr....doctor."

The key to questions of this nature is to either show that: i) you are capable of deep self-reflection and have learned from the experience, or ii) you chose the greater good. Personally, I think answers in the first category are generally more successful than those in the second.

Have you ever agreed with someone one on something? Tell me about it.

(I never ask this question but I don't know why you are asking how to answer it when it seems straightforward to me.... of course, I seldom agree with anyone about anything which would make it difficult for me to answer this question.)
