How to answer this interview question

Hi everyone.

In two interviews I have received this question:

What other schools have you applied to?

I doubt they want a list of school names, but I dont know how to answer this question correctly.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I just said a few of the schools that I applied to. I don't think they want the kitchen sink, but maybe just list a couple so they have an idea of what types of schools you're focuing on (strong research or strong clinical schools for instance).
