Hey guys, hope studying is going well. How'd you guys avoid burn out and what'd you guys study for your last few days? I take my DAT the 29th, and will start doing only practice tests on the 15th. Really struggling to study right now, and my practice test scores aren't even looking too hot, not sure how to commit to going at this point. Been studying for almost 2 and a half months now.

As of now my schedule is 3 hours destroyer, 1 hour PAT, 1 hour rereading bio, then just random Ochem/Gchem questions I find.

Hey there! Sorry to hear you're having a rough time right now. Try to think about why you're doing all this "pointless" studying. The goal is to only take this exam once because it's very draining financially and emotionally. I think what you need is a day or two free from studying; then, get back to it refreshed! If your practice exam scores are not where you want them to be find out why. What subjects are causing you the most trouble? Is there a certain topic within that subject? Put a focus there on really learning the material. To avoid burn out, I stuck to a schedule, but it seems that you are already doing that. Take breaks throughout the day - every hour or so. Take days off, too. For the last few days of my DAT prep, I did nothing but full length exams, write out my organic chemistry mechanisms, and review my notebook. My notebook contained all the questions that I got wrong from my study materials with more information so that I could learn it better. I hope that answers your questions. If you have more, feel free to PM me or post here. Best of luck!

Keep your head up! It looks like you're dedicated to reviewing which is a very good sign. Just a side note, I'd suggest throwing in some daily reading (from a website like ScienceDaily, which I used), just so you don't neglect that section. You can do it right before bed even. And what about QR? From the destroyer I assume?

Like Pearl E. White said, you have to remember why you're taking this test! Think of it this way: if you do well on the DAT, you've got a much better shot at getting into the dental school of your dreams. Do that, and after going through dental school, you'll have your dream career! Dr. DrRipStudwell... doesn't that sound good to you? But in all seriousness, this test is challenging but definitely manageable so long as you keep it up. Power through, and you'll be happy with the result!

Thanks for the tips! For RC, my average with 0 studying has been around a 25~ on DAT bootcamp. Just going with my natural guts for that section. On QR I've honestly neglected it a bit, but I'm still averaging around a 20~ on DAT bootcamp. Sciences for some reason are just tough! Great scores by the way, the breakdown really helped.

Keep it up! Make sure to not neglect the Destroyers, they are really helpful.
