Wellll... I took my DAT already, and writing up my PS. My school ends may 18th, applications open June 1st. From what I understand, and correct me if I am wrong, the transcript release forms that are to be printed from the application site and handed to my university registrar to be attached to my transcript won't be available until June 1st, when the applications open. So if I can't print out that release form until June 1st, and if I leave my university after finals on may 18th, how do I get my university the release form to attach to my transcript?

Summary:
Leaving school may 18th
Transcript release form opens June 1st.

Conflict: How do I submit my application first in line if I can't get my transcript release form to my school? Can I submit my transcript to the application site without the release form?

Don't submit your transcripts before AADSAS opens. You need to send it with the accompanying forms.

Nowadays, many universities allow for online transcript orders wherein you can supply attached documents. If that's not an option, call your registrar or whatever and ask them if you could fax/email it to them.

When the application opens up just mail/drop off the form immediately. From that point the only thing you can do is wait. Schools are pretty quick about sending it. Also relax a bit being in the first batch isn't that big of a deal. You should have no problem being first batch anyway.

my friend sent out everything on the friday of first week of june and she was batch 1. Hope this helps!

But don't you think other people are having the same dilemma as you? Everyone wants to send it in as soon as possible, but they will not have the transcript matching form available until June 1st/2nd, so it's a fair game for everyone and as long as you got other stuff, you can be in first batch.

Make sure you get the letters in quickly, those can delay the process quite a bit. My letters took 4 months to be sent in. I was devastated..

LOL.

Didn't the website crash on day 1 last summer b/c so many people were trying to access it?

I'm thinking of not touching the website until June 4 at the minimum.
It did. I remember trying to access it on the first day and it didn't work. I didn't try again for a few weeks

Transcripts are easy greasy lemon squeezy. Of perhaps greater concern might be LORs. Schools out, professors go on vacation, study abroad, etc. I'm sure you've already got this nailed down, but if not, just walk each LOR writer through the process, what to expect, how AADSAS will communicate with them, etc. If they have the LOR all prepared and ready to roll, they can literally just send it in on the same day the AADSAS notification goes out to them. Personally, I had 3 LOR's in by June 6 last year, but the 4th was coming from a professor who was unavailable for a bit. Held me up for about 3 weeks, but finally got in by the end of June. So I was 2nd batch and like everyone else has said, it's not that big of a deal to be 1st. Doesn't mean you wait and apply in October 🙂 but plenty October applicants end up with offers as well. Best of luck!!

Can letters of rec be sent in prior to the application opening June 1st....? Or is that something that has to wait until the application opens as well??

You can send LORs to interfolio. I have no idea how that works.
