Hello, I am going to apply DPT program this coming cycle. I am confused when I tried to choose course I have token to assign prerequisite. Because some pt school accept bio 1 and one other higher level bio course, so it is not necessary to put bio 2 with general biology II. However, some other school only accept general biology I & II for prerequisite courses. What should I do then? Should I put both higher level and general biology II for bio 2? I think PTCAS only need one course to be titled as bio 2..... I am really confused, please help me.

I had a similar problem and emailed PTCAS. Some of my schools require more than one Psychology prerequisite. They told me that in certain cases it is okay to designate more than one class for a prerequisite group, but it is recommended to avoid that unless you have to. You may want to email them to be sure though, as I'm not sure what they would recommend for your case.

Look at the manual. I believe the PTCAS pre req is independent of the schools pre-reqs

I was wondering the same thing ..... so if, let's say for a physics course, the lecture and the lab are taught as two separate courses but that both are a requirement for schools, would it be okay to classify both courses as prerequisites on PTCAS?

In this case you designate both but there is also an additional tab called "course type" where you indicate that the lab and lecture where separate. This tab only applies to pre reqs.

Did you end up using both for your psychology prereq? I'm running into the same situation and ptcas said they recommend just one, but all the schools I'm applying to want general and developmental psych.

I did use both. I wanted to make sure they both got included in the prereq gpa.
