I worked at a neuroscience lab for Psych credit. The lab publishes in both psych-focused and neuroscience journals and it's goal is to connect clinical and affective neuroscience. They look for biomarkers for psychiatric illnesses. I helped run MRIs, did physiological measuring, assisted in analyzing data, helped consent...all that jazz. We also administered *legal*, non-regulated drugs. All the grad students in the lab either are working towards neuroscience or clinical psych degrees.

Would this count as a science credit for MD or DO schools?

I worked in a neuroscience lab for psychology department credit as an undergraduate, and it was counted as "Psychology" (non-science) in AACOMAS, but it was counted in BCPM on AMCAS.

Best bet is to try categorizing it as a science/BCPM course, and to see if it goes through. Nothing to lose.

Very useful, thanks!
