So I'm going to be taking at least Wilderness First Aid, a 30 hour course, or more likely, Wilderness First Responder which is an 80 hour course. Both are emergency medicine courses designed to prepare participants to assist others who are injured/sick in the back country. Both include basic first aid and CPR certification as well as more advanced training more pertinent to wilderness situations. I'm wondering how the hours will be counted in my application? Obviously this will be people, not animals. Is there an option for human medical training, or is it like research used to be categorized in the past and thrown into the "veterinary experience" category?
Thanks!
