Hello all,

I am filling out the AMCAS application and I wonder what program type to enter for each college I attended:

I am a non-traditional applicant who graduated in France 10 years ago.
Once I decided to go back to school to prepare for medical school, I took all the pre-req courses (undersgraduate level) at Junior colleges, Sacramento State University and UC Davis.
Since I already had a degree, I was refused normal enrollment. 2nd bac program were not an option, so I took all my courses through Open University which is offered by the University extension program.

The AMCAS Instruction manual is very clear about course work and I did enter all my classes under Post Baccalaureate Undergraduate since I took these undergraduate courses 10 years after graduating.
However, nothing is explained about the 'Program Type' in the Section 2: Schools Attended. Is anyone in the same situation, wondering what to enter here? I first chose 'undergraduate' when filling out the section 2 and now that I am reviewing my application, I wonder if I should have entered Post Baccfalaureate here too... Unfortunately, all the course work I painfully entered will be deleted if I change the Program type now.

Any idea if this really matters and if I should change it to Post Baccalaureate?

Thank you so much for your help!

I entered "postbaccalaureate undergraduate" for the institution I did my postbacc at.

Thank you Mauberley. For clarification, when you say you did a postbacc, do you mean a formal Post Bacc Program, or did you enroll on your own to the pre-req courses?

At the school where I completed my prereqs, there is a post-baccalaureate pre-health certificate available and I took the same classes those in the certificate program took. However, I was never a part of the program because I already had half of the prereqs completed from undergrad; I registered for classes as an "at-large" student--never destined for a degree or certificate.
