Hey there.

I am on Freida and just realized that it is easy to search for transitional years but there is no way that I can find to search out PGY-1 prelime IM years.

How do we know where to apply? Do all IM programs offer spots or is there something I am missing here?

Any advice would be great. Good luck everybody.

On Freida's main page, where you can choose to do a search, click the button that says "Optional Criteria". Under that you can select programs that "Offer preliminary positions". Then you can search for Internal medicine programs in whatever areas you're interested in, and only programs that offer preliminary positions should come up. Hope that helps!

I don't get how that works on ERAS. The option for "prelim medicine" or "prelim surgery" isn't there. If I just apply to a medicine or surgery spot at a place that does prelim positions, how do they know that's what I'm applying for?
Thanks
