Hey guys, I'm planning to take the DAT in March so I'm starting to study certain topics that I can get through now like Bio, QR, and PAT. I have math destroyer and will get bootcamp, but how do you guys go about starting to study? I was trying to work through the problems from destroyer and I honestly couldn't do a lot of them. It's been like 3 years since I've last taken a math class so I really don't know remember the formulas at the top of my head or how to do these problems unless I look at the answers in the back of the book. Is there any way to look over math subjects? I even tried youtube but it didn't provide too many similar questions or problems.

I don’t have a very refined way of doing this. I just made a google doc. Forcing myself to explain what each concept meant in words helped me memorize them. I used Kaplan, but I’m sure you could do the same with whatever service you’re using.

I had a very similar problem approaching the QR section. I had been out of math two and a half years, so taking a look at either the Destroyer or the Math Destroyer made me terrified. I really recommend checking the Orgoman QR videos on YouTube. I don't think I'm allowed to link them, but it's the Math Playlist. Those videos were an absolute godsend for me. They helped me learn how to do the problems a bit better, and then I could tackle the Math/DAT Destroyer and only get partially rammed in the process.

Those two books are all I needed for a 30 QR on the DAT. Covered every single question I encountered, bar one that was easy to figure out on the spot. I cannot recommend the Math Playlist + DAT Destroyer + Math Destroyer combo enough.

Awesome scores! How long did you study for the DAT and what were you getting on bootcamp's full length exams? (if you used it).

I did some light studying for probably 6 months or so, but I did the bulk of my studying in 3 weeks or so after finals my third year in undergrad. And I never really took any of the BC full lengths. They were too outdated for my liking based on the experience I had with the first one. Guess it depends on the person, though!

This is another good Free website, you are basically doing highschool Math, but most students have been away from it for many years! Don't let the QR section be the reason you have to retake the DAT, it happens...Nancy...#think30
