I am a patient at a dental school. My student is getting ready to graduate in May and is EXTREAMLY stressed out. I am looking for things i can do for or say to him to help him relax. I feel so bad for him. I was really upset because he had dropped a cast for a cast post that we had made yesterday, which is not a big deal we can just make a new post when I see him on monday. Also I really care about him due to the fact that he has been my student for almost 2 years and would like to get him a graduation present. Any ideas on either thing?

I had a patient bring me a box of Ho-Hos and 6-pack of Coke once.
It made my day.

a story i heard from a dentist, early on after starting his practice, he had done a bunch of work on a woman across several appointments, i think a lot extractions and stuff. her last appointment ended at the end of the workday, and after they were done she was like hold on, and went out to her car and got a handle of jack daniel's, and gave it to him as a present, and they did a shot together out of dixie cups at the office. and now every christmas she gives him a pot of bourbon meatballs that are obnoxiously strong. i hope patients like me like that!

One of my friend's patients always brings baked goods every time she sees him. I think that is a nice enough gesture for a graduation present, just to say thanks and how much you appreciate them. I hope my patients bring me baked goods 🙂
