Does anyone have suggestions of how to go about hiring licensed psychologists for a group practice? I am starting a group practice on Long Island and am in search of child psychologists to join. Many popular sites have very high advertising fees, and I'm not sure if they generate interest that is worth the cost. Thank you in advance.

I'd look into listservs through the APA divisions or other special interest listservs. I'm on the neuropsych listserv and people post about job openings there all the time. I'm sure Divsions 53 and 54 have something similar.

I would email graduate programs in the area and post on their alumni listserve as well. You have some great programs in that general location, including Rutgers, Yeshiva, LIU etc.

The best way is to join the New York State Psychological Association and then you will have access to its listserv that is accessed by all of its members. After this, you just post what you are looking for on the listserv. I have a friend who just started a group practice in another state and this method, by far, was the most effective

Good Luck!
