My pic will be loa for three weeks and i am in panic. (I am still newbie at controlling all metrics)
My store does 3500-4000 a week, have scriptpro, strong production, ok drop-off.

Main things we are struggling with are qt, rwp, and m5.
Is there any way (inclung your own tricks..) that i can keep this metric good level?

Thanks in advance.

P.s. For m5, if we already get ok for refill from dr's office, (since we are very busy), we delete request& and type refill later when it is not busy. Does it hurt number (compared to generating from request) ?

What you do with refills can and probably does hurt your numbers. The only way it might not hurt them is if you are deleting an already past due request.

But deleting request and then retyping script? Very inefficient. Even if you go back and generate script from refill. If you type it in completely, you will be yourself behind even more.

Prescriber calls: past due counts against you anyway so if you happen to get a verbal OK you might as well just generate. Prescriber calls account for only up to 10 points anyway.
QT: pharmacists can jump in and help and also tell everyone to jump on QT if you are caught up elsewhere. This should be easy 30/30 points depending on how fast/accurate your techs are.
RWP: just W15 everything if it's a true waiter. Get people to come back. Some stores tend to put in fake waiters (scan back tag label in QP to print label, put in yellow basket) to avoid W20 or above.

This might be a dumb question, but why would you bother to scan the back-tag label? Why not just refresh the QP?

If you are talking about WeCare you have have have to help in QT as the pharmacist and make sure nothing ever goes red, you can improve your score a lot just by getting your action by triage time points. You have to be 'bossy' and tell your techs what to do (in the nicest way possible) and make sure they are following the work station assignment board as closely as possible. It seems dumb and annoying and usually techs don't like to do it but I have found that having set stations instead of everybody running around bumping into each other getting from one station to the next will help get the rx's where they need to be faster, will free you up from being at the register a lot since someone is assigned to pick up, and thus will help your RWP time. If you get backed up and red in QP then theres not much you can do about RWP except go over there and help count. Also make sure they are doing small things like prioritizing waiters and stacking baskets in time order for you. I dont know about the fake waiter thing, I don't see the point of it just make it a true waiter so you get credit for it. Don't worry so much about the prescriber calls, as they don't count for very many points but I think you have to generate or deny whenever possible instead of delete in order for your score to improve.
