I got an email today saying I should receive my ECFMG Certificate in the next 5 business days. There are a good amount of programs that I applied to that said they either require or highly value a candidate who is ECFMG certified at application. My question is how will they know I am now certified? Do I ask them to re-download my app? Is this an opportunity to email my top programs in that category and let them know that certification should be complete in a week?
How to Inform Programs of ECFMG Certification?

they will know when they log in and look you up on ERAS ( it automatically downloads) however I would contact the programs of interest when you receive the certificate to inform them, it will hopefully make a big difference. it's a good excuse to contact them and remind them of your continued interest in the program
