Hi! New member here, but long time lurker. 🙂
How would you list donations you've made on your app? All the categories need a start/end date and hours...

I do origami work as a hobby. I've made several thousand cranes before. I single handedly raised ~$4000 for the Tsunami relief through my uni's Japanese club (they had a "crane making" thing going where an organization would donate $2 per crane, and I donated around 1900 cranes).

I also donated over 10,000 cranes (sewn into beautiful strings, and yes, all made by me over the course of two years) to a thrift store whose proceeds all go to a children's hospital.

I am also an "artist" that focuses on photo realism. I drew a picture of the Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King movie poster and plan on donating it to a charity auction whose earnings will all go towards ending child abuse.

SO... yeah. How would I list these on an application? (I don't apply until next year, but I'm really curious).

There is no place designated for donations. IF I were you, I would either list it under extracurriculars with a start date (first creation donated) last date (last creation donated) and describe what you did. Secondly, there is an area where you can exemplify your dexterity, you could probably write about your drawings, origami (charity included) here.

Thats awesome. Maybe you can list it under your community service, although its slightly untraditional.

You can probably put it under community service. I highly suggest you put it somewhere in your application at least b/c that would definitely make you stand out. There is also a manual dexterity section that you might want to consider putting it as well. Good luck!

I think both extracurricular and manual dexterity application portions fit nice.

Cool. Thanks everyone! I'll keep that in mind. 🙂 I guess if I had to list hours, I can probably list how many hours it took to complete the process of making/drawing them.
