I am wondering you to list future hours/dates on current ECs on AACOMAS. Apparently they use a different system than AMCAS. For example, I am working for the past year, and plan to continue during the application year.

Here's what I am doing now:
1) For the date, put the end date for the anticipated matriculation time (August 2019). This includes the future dates.
2) For the total hours, only calculated the completed hours, but no future hours (weeks/hr) entered.

Is that an ok way to list? Or do people suggest otherwise? I don't plan to explain it in words in the description as I am maxed out in word count.

I am doing the same way (no future hours, but future end date). I think I will try to explain my anticipated hours in the descriptions.

I think our approach makes sense because we indicated the future end date as well as marking it as "current activity," which shows that we are continuing this activity during the application year even though no future hours are included.

@Catalystik @gonnif @Goro care to share your 2 cents on this?

Once you submit your app, you can't make any changes to your EC section.

It seems to me you are leaving yourself open to misinterpretation. Either enter the end date as this month and explain in the description, "Expect xxx more hours by 8/2019," or do as you have, but add "An additional xxx hours are planned beyond the hours listed above by the time of matriculation."

In other words, you have to explain.

Agreed with above.
You should not add future hours. This is how it needs to be done.
Start 1/1/18
Finish 6/1/18
Totals hours = 4 hrs/week= 4x22=88 hrs
In comment section add, continuing to add more hours as planned till 12/1/18 or whatever and expecting to add 80 more hours.
This will be the right way to do.
