I was wondering how to deal with retakes on the prerequisite listings~~

For example:
I took Orgo I in sophmore year and got a C-
I retook it in Senior year and got an A-

Do I list it as:
a.) One entity as an averaged B-
b.) One entity as a highest A-
c.) two entities as a C- and a separately listed A-

Please help~~~

So I just emailed a source, and they told me to email only the highest grade~~

For those who had the same question, I believe you are supposed to go with choice B

Can anyone confirm this??

On secondaries it really is not the big deal you think it is. I listed the highest grade, so far no one has had an issue.

Remember that they DO have your AMCAS application and can reference it if they really care that much.

Don't waste your energy on this🙂

Thanks a million!!

I posted a different topic which talked about a similar matter, and received the following response

lol wut?

You do realize that performance in prereqs is perhaps the most important thing on your app?

Many people don't major in the hard sciences, and as a result, only have the requisite essentials, that is, one year of bio, etc, etc. For these people, the luxury of choosing what course to list in the pre-req is not an option. But, assuming you are a science major, you should have probably taken more than one year of bio+ lab, chem+lab, etc. You get the idea. In this case, it is to your advantage to only list your BEST grades. While your overall GPA/BCPM is by far the most important, overall trend, and prereq performance is a VERY close second. There are no two ways about it.

So how important is the secondary prerequisite section really??

I know I didn't list my highest grades for one of my secondaries, and have been kind of freaking out~~
