I am starting to study for the DAT. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the information I need to study. I was curious to see how everyone managed their time when they studied. I know there is a thread that gives the 8 week outline but I wanted to get more advice.

How did everyone else tackle this exam?

I always went into studying with a plan. Just plopping down with a book wasn't going to work for me. Whether you line out 8 weeks or just your day, a clear set of goals is a good start.

I kept track of my time so I knew where it was going. Just a spreadsheet with a column for each subject/section so I knew how long I was spending where. Most would find this neurotic and stupid. But It reminded me to not sit on one subject and to not neglect others.

Move from subject to subject and take breaks. If you sit and read biology for 8 hours straight you'll probably kill yourself and then want to do so again when you think how much chemistry you still need to get to.

Thanks, I need to focus on General Chemistry and math the most. I think I will start with these subjects and go from there.

I am still open to more advice though!
