Read the AMCAS help. What does your most recent transcript list as the grade? Put that one down. It doesn't make sense to me to mark the class as incomplete if the course is no longer incomplete.

The official transcript lists the course 2 times. For the Winter 2021 quarter, the grade that is given is "I" for Incomplete. This is not counted in my GPA for that quarter. For the Summer 2021 quarter, the course is listed again and the final grade given is "A." Underneath, it says "Note: Removal of "I" grade from Winter 2021."

From the perspective of my school, the Incomplete grade is removed and replaced with an A, and that's what I have been told by my professor and the registrar as well. However, the official transcript still lists the Incomplete grade, it is just not factored into my GPA and is explicitly stated to be "removed."

I have no idea how to make an entry for this. Should I make 2 separate entries for the same course, one with an "I" and one with an "A"? I'm very worried that AMCAS will count the "I" grade as an F even though it was removed and replaced with an A.

The best thing is to document it exactly as it appears on the transcript, and let AMCAS figure it out. You are likely NOT the first person to have this issue, but you have at least done what was expected (which is... copy exactly what is on the transcript).
