How to obtain a dental license in u.s.

I was born in the us but during middle school I had to move to mexico. I finished middle school and Highschool here in Mexico and now Im about to study dentistry in Guadalajara. My question is, could I obtain my license in California after I'm done studying in Guadalajara? If so how?

International dental school graduates can only get licensed after going through two additional years of dental school (IDP) in the states. You also have to pass the national boards and the licensing exam for the state or region you want to practice in.
